Today, the world is smaller and we can keep contact with anyone, no matter how far they are. But the irony of the situation is that we are forgetting how to communicate without looking at the screen. So, it has made everything easier, but it has also built some barriers between people. How have these influenced our relationships?
Some of us “meet” their partner online. If it is done slowly, it can be a positive start, especially if the partners get to know each other before they meet. This way, they know more about the other's sexual desires, as well as the likes and dislikes by their first real date. But the big question remains: can they talk without the anonymity of the screens? If they can, then the relationship might face a long future, unless one of them is a jealous type.
And the Internet, especially Facebook is a great base for jealous outbursts. If one likes other girls/guys pictures, comments on them, or a stranger makes comments to the status or pictures of a jealous person's partner, then it can lead to a breakup just as easily as it could start the relationship.
Yet, it has also provided a way of communication to those who have to work or live far away from each other. Video chat on Facebook and on Skype have provided the opportunity to even have virtual sex via the Internet, and sites like this have granted that you do not even need to leave your home if you are single and want sex. So all in all, it has mostly positive effects, don't you think?
